Policies and Procedures
 

Important Policies

Uniforms:

Girls should wear a leotard.  Leotards are REQUIRED for gymnasts in Intermediate and above and RECOMMENDED for Advanced Beginner and below.  Leotards are available for purchase in the GymQuest Pro-shop.  Boys should wear a t-shirt and shorts.  No jeans, shorts or pants with belts or buckles.  Hair longer than shoulder length must be tied away from the face.  No jewelry  should be worn into the gym.  All children should be barefoot in the gym.
Class Advancement: The instructor will inform the front desk of a student's advancement as soon as the appropriate criteria has been met.  The student will also get a progress report stating their advancement.  If your child has been advanced to the next level, advancement will be verified by the front desk staff.
Class Cancellations: GymQuest reserves the right to cancel classes if minimum enrollment is not met.
Coaching Changes: GymQuest will try to keep the same coach on a class throughout the entire session, but reserves the right to change coaches without notification when necessary.
Registration: All fees and tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration.  There is an annual, non-refundable/non-transferable $30 registration fee per child.
Discounts: Families will receive a 20% sibling discount off the lesser class fee (s).  If a student enroll for a second class within the same session, there will be also be a 20% discount off of the lesser of the two class fees. 
Valuables: Valuable items should not be brought into the gym.  GymQuest will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
Refunds: Cancellations of classes during the first 2 weeks of a session will be refunded the remaining class fees.  After the second week week of a session, there are no refunds.  Exceptions to this policy must be approved by management.  All refunds are subject to a $10 service charge.
Make-up Policy:

In order to better serve all of our customers, students who miss his/her regularly scheduled class will have the option to attend an open gym on Sunday from 4:00-5:00pm.  This open gym will only be open to those students that have missed a class and have pre-registered with the front desk for the open gym.  Making up missed gym time is a courtesy that GymQuest is pleased to provide for our customers.  Pre-registration is required.  Not available for Summer classes.  Please see desk for Summer make-up procedure.

Parents: Parents are not allowed in the gymnastics gym unless enrolled in a parent child class or when escorting your child into Jr. rec. open gym.  For the safety of all participants please wait in the viewing areas.  If you have a question regarding your child's class,  please see the front desk.  Any discipline problems that cannot be dealt with by the coach will be addressed to a parent.

Parents please have your child use the bathroom prior to class.

Open Gym Safety Rules

Serious injuries may occur if these rules are not followed. 

  1. No one under the age of 6 months is allowed inside the gym.

  2. A parent signed waiver is required for children to enter the gymnastics area.

  3. Jr. Rec. open gym is for ages 6 months - 6 years only

  4. Rec. open gym is for ages 6 - 12 years and 12-17 if a GQ member. 

  5. No parents are allowed in the gym during Rec. open gym.

  6. Children should not be on equipment that they can not reach themselves.

  7. Baby carriers, car seats, strollers or slings are not allowed.

  8. Please do not carry your child through the gym.

  9. Parents are not allowed on the equipment or in the inflatables.

  10. No running or horseplay.

  11. No flipping.

  12. No swinging on the ropes.

  13. No hanging from knees on any of the equipment.

  14. Cell phones are not allowed in the gymnastics area.

  15. Food or drink is prohibited in the gymnastics area.

Violation of these rules could result in you being asked to leave the gym.
