The DanceQuest program offers a nurturing environment for a young beginner dancer, and an exciting and challenging place for intermediate and advanced dancers to grow, and great fun for absolutely anyone interested in learning how to dance!
DanceQuest Performing Company
The DanceQuest Performing Company (DQPC) is comprised of DanceQuest students who take DanceQuest technique classes. DanceQuest staff will set choreography on the company in various styles of dance including ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and tap. As performance opportunities arise the company will be notified of dates and times to be available to perform. The company will also perform choreography in the annual dance recital in June.
DanceQuest expects the company to maintain good attendance in technique classes as well as company rehearsals. Company members are expected to set a good example and represent DanceQuest in a positive manner at all times. Company members will gain valuable dance experience in various styles as well as increase their performance quality through multiple appearances throughout the year.
The DanceQuest Performing Company commitment is September through June (ending with the dance recital). DQPC members must remain enrolled in DanceQuest classes throughout this time (ballet, jazz, lyrical, etc). The company is split into sub-groups by age and technical ability.
Required number of classes per week depends on which sub-group of DQPC the dancer is placed in.
The company will rehearse once a week continually with additional rehearsals as needed. Rehearsals will be on Saturdays-time TBD.
