Introductory Dancer Program
This program gets your body moving and your feet making noise! Whether your child chooses to focus solely on ballet or desires to learn hip hop, jazz, tap, musical theater, contemporary and our combination classes, students will learn repetitive dance movements in center and across the floor. Dance terminology is introduced and explained as students develop an understanding of body and spatial awareness . The Introductory Dancer Program offers a different dynamic of teaching beats and rhythms. Students begin to develop dance technique, coordination, musicality and comprehension of choreography to sharpen their skill sets.
Ballet I
This class is a for the dancer who may just be starting their journey in ballet or dancers with previous ballet experience and are looking to brush up on their skills. Whatever your level, the instructor will adapt to find a challenging fit for every student with center work and across the floor progressions. Dancers will work on flexibility, strength/conditioning, and choreography to shape their foundation in ballet technique, terminology and skills.
Ballet IA
Ballet IA is for dancers with previous ballet experience with an advancement from Ballet I. More advanced center work and across the floor progressions are developed as dancers work on flexibility, strength/conditioning, body alignment and placement as well as choreography to shape their foundation in ballet technique, terminology and skills. This class is an hour class for students that have been approved to advance to Level IA in our Progressive Dancer Program.
Combo I
This class is an hour class for 5-6 year old students wanting to get their bodies moving and feet making noise. Children will learn repetitive dance movements at the barre and away. Dance terminology will be introduced and explained as students develop an understanding of body and spatial awareness. Tap and Jazz offers a different dynamic teaching beats and rhythm. Come play and explore with hoops, scarves, ribbons, and more.
Combo II
This class is an hour class for 6-7 year old students wanting to get their bodies moving and feet making noise. Children will learn repetitive dance movements at the barre and away. Dance terminology will be introduced and explained as students develop an understanding of body and spatial awareness. Tap and Jazz offers a different dynamic teaching beats and rhythm. Come play and explore with hoops, scarves, ribbons, and more.
Jazz I & II
Jazz I is an introduction to jazz technique and terminology combining ballet skills with elements of lyrical and musical theater dance. Musicality and choreographic combinations are introduced to help dancers develop their rhythm and style in this stylized form of dance. Jazz Dance II class is designed for students approved by the instructor to continue their dance training with a higher level of difficulty in technical skills training and a greater focus on the development of their performance quality in jazz dance.
Jazz IA & IIA
Jazz IA and IIA is the next level up from the Jazz I and II class which develops the students coordination, stylization, terminology and movement quality. Enhanced choreographic combinations, across the floor progressions and mind body connection is encouraged to help dancers develop their confidence and strength in intermediate jazz technique and skills. Jazz Dance IA and IIA class is designed for students approved by the instructor to continue their dance training with a higher level of difficulty and a greater focus on the development of their performance quality in jazz dance.
Industry Jazz
Dance like your favorite pop star and learn Industry Style Jazz Dance in this one hour jam packed class! This style of Jazz dance is entertainment-driven and seen on television commercials, movies and music videos. Industry Jazz Dance focuses on the performance quality and commercial side of dance by using fun, upbeat and show stopping performance quality choreography, while emphasizing strong connection to rhythm patterns and musicality. Industry Jazz fuses together different styles of dance such as Ballet, Ballroom Dance, Hip Hop, Musical Theater and Breakdancing! Prior experience in jazz dance is recommended.
Jr. Hip Hop
Junior Hip Hop dance class is a 45 minute, fun, high-energy class for 5-7 year old students wanting to learn the basics of Hip Hop Dance, and music. Students are introduced to isolations and stylized movements, and learn to incorporate tumbling skills, floor work and Hip Hop terminology. Dancers will enhance coordination, body/spatial awareness, endurance, flexibility and strengthen their musicality and rhythm.
Tap I & II
Enjoy learning the basics of tap technique in Tap I. Students are introduced to tap terminology and learn to develop rhythm and musicality that help shape their tap skills. Beginner tap exercises and choreography are incorporated while dancers discover new beats and sounds with their taps. Center and across the floor skills are taught in class. Tap II requires instructor approval.
Musical Theater
Musical Theatre Dance incorporates the art of theatrical performance with songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. Story telling and emotional content are all communicated in the form of words, music, and movement. Dancers will learn choreography, musicality and the stylized movement of musical theater. Let's get into character as we dance to some of the most popular musicals!
Contemporary
Let’s escape into the world of interpretive dance! This Contemporary Dance class . Dancers will learn to blend various dance styles together to create expressive movement. Students will enjoy a warm-up; gentle yoga stretches and learn core foundations of contemporary dance. Have fun exploring partnering activities, develop your floor work, delve in improvisational dance and discover the mind/body connection in relation to the art of music.
Intro to Acro
Intro to Acro class is suitable for ages 5 and up. While encouraging coordination, spatial awareness, fine and gross motor skills, your student will prepare to strengthen their technique and agility for acrobatic tricks and skills. Dancers will increase their strength and flexibility and develop a variety of tumbling and gymnastics skills that can be fused into their dance training.
