Meet Our Director
Kayla Easley
Ms. Kayla graduated in 2012 from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, Performance Studies and Dance; with a concentration in jazz dance. While attending college, she trained with world renowned choreographers Ivan Pulinkala, Lauri Stallings and Sandra Parks. Ms. Kayla gained knowledge in dance history, pedagogy, kinesiology, performance and choreography.
Ms. Easley has over 20 years of dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, musical theater, lyrical, hip hop and contemporary styles. Ms. Kayla was a former member of her high school competitive dance and cheer teams. Throughout the years, she performed with various dance companies and participated in a number of dance competitions, conventions and events in the Midwest.
She started teaching dance in 2012 throughout Central Illinois. In 2016 she moved to Chicagoland and taught dance camps at Paramount Performing Arts Center, Bolingbrook Park District and choreographed for the BPD DanceForce Competitive Team. She's been teaching students at Evolve Dance Studio in Bolingbrook, IL for two seasons, and enjoys sharing her passion for dance with the community.
Ms. Easley was casted on multiple television shows, such as Empire and Chicago Fire, as well as print campaigns like Home Depot, Kohls, American Girl and Revolution Dancewear. Throughout the years, she's been awarded multiple regional and national dance titles for her choreography.
In addition, Ms. Easley has over 15 years of experience in customer service, store management, administrative support roles in educational organizations and business corporations. She's gained 3 years of marketing and branding experience for her Real Estate business, HomeLinks with Kayla Brokered by eXp Realty. Kayla is a mother, U.S. Army Veteran, Real Estate Agent, and a lover of the arts.
She is thrilled to be a part of the DanceQuest family, and looks forward to shaping the program as your Dance Director. Her goal is to provide opportunities for dancers to grow their artistry and express themselves through the love of theater, music and dance. She plans to provide a positive, healthy and fun environment, for instructors and students to thrive.
